Back where I come from…

Posted 9/23/08 by Danielle Gregoire

Hi everyone!!!! I would like to thank Governor Deval Patrick and Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray for taking the time out of their extremely busy schedules to come to Marlborough this Saturday morning for our post-primary unity event. The event was well attended and all of the candidates there stressed how important it is for us to remain united as we go forward to the election in November. I was proud to receive the support of my former opponent, Matt Giancola, who stressed that the only choice for Berlin, Marlborough and Southborough in November is the candidate who will continue to support public education at all levels, bring economic development to our area and work to protect our environment, all on a full time basis. Matt ran a great campaign, and has unique ideas to bring to our team as we go forward and I am looking forward to working with him.

We will be opening our coordinated campaign office on 109 Main Street in Marlborough soon and will keep you posted as that happens and as events continue to arise.

So, as the weekend started off with a bang, it continued in true campaign form, with an event honoring State Senator Pam Resor, the Sons of Italy cookout in Marlborough, breakfast with Congressman Jim McGovern in Worcester, a Q&A session with our next State Senator Jamie Eldridge, and of course, the doorknocking. I am looking forward to the next few chaotic weeks as we continue to get out to meet as many voters as possible, both in their homes and out in the community and I look forward to being your full time State Representative.

As always, please feel free to contact me directly to volunteer on the campaign, or with any questions, comments, or concerns. Thank you for your continued support.

- Danielle
