AFL-CIO Endorsement...

Posted 6/25/08 by Danielle Gregoire

I am proud to announce that I have earned the endorsement of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO! We have always been and will continue to be supportive of organized labor and identify with the struggles of the working people in the Commonwealth, especially during these difficult economic times.

We have attended the Mass. Women's Political Caucus Abigail Adams Awards in Boston, the MetroWest Growth Management Committee annual awards ceremony honoring Senator Resor, the Good Scout Awards recognizing former Rep. LeDuc and President of the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce Sue Leeber. We attended the Citizens Scholarship Foundation scholarship awards banquet and addressed the recipients and their families on community service and volunteerism. I was proud to attend the ribbon cutting of the new Governor Michael Dukakis Aquatic Center at the New England Center for Children, a school for autistic kids. In addition to Governor Dukakis and his wife, in attendance to celebrate their years of work with the school were Senator Kerry, Lt. Governor Murray, Senator Resor, and Representatives Eldridge and Donato.

This past Saturday evening we were delighted with the support of so many Berlin residents who came out for Strawberry Shortcake at Indian Head Farm. The Wheeler Family pulled out all of the stops in preparing for this event and we can't thank them enough. Hundreds of residents from Marlborough and surrounding communities came out on Monday night for the first Taste of Downtown Marlborough. Representative Eldridge and I strolled up and down Main Street greeting friends and tasting all of what our great restaurants have to offer.

We're attending events like crazy, but every free second is dedicated to doorknocking and meeting more voters. With the Lions Club Annual Dinner, the Friends of the Marlborough Seniors Ho Down, and French Hill Neighborhood Association events yet to come before the month's end, we're sure to run into you somewhere on the campaign trail. We're also gearing up for Fourth of July weekend and July is ripe for door to door voter outreach. We're working tirelessly to ensure victory on September 16th and November 4th but we couldn't do it without your support. Sign up today to have a lawn sign or bumper sticker, walk in the Labor Day parade, or host a neighborhood coffee or house party. This campaign may have my name on it, but it's about all of the residents of Berlin, Marlborough and Southborough and I want to work with you to keep our district moving in the right direction!

Thank you for everything you do!

- Danielle
